London England... Here I come

Monday morning we were up bright and early. All 3 girls had a sleep over with Abby before she left. Then is was one finally check of the luggage and we were out the door.

At the airport we met such wonderful people who were so helpful. Abby had trouble getting her passport scanned and a airport worker came over to help. He notices she was leaving on a mission and asked her where she was going. Abby told him and he proceeded to tell her what words to use and what words NOT to use. He fixed the scanner and we moved on to the counter to weigh her luggage.

We had weighed her luggage so many times at home and knew one bag was probably over but the second bag was well under the allotted amount. When Abby sat her first suitcase up to be weighed, the short man smiled and said, "I hope you have some chocolate to take out of here to help get it closer to weight" then Abby said, "I am going to England, I am not taking chocolate over there. England chocolate is a lot better!" He smiled and tagged the bag heavy and told her to put the second bag on the scale.

She sat the second bag up and it was 62 lbs and the most it was supposed to be was 50. He said, " you know when Hyrum went on his mission, he took a loaf of bread... looks like your taking the whole bread maker!" Abby smiled, and said, "I have lots of bread to make."  We knew this suitcase was over and had put some of the heavier things in a small bag she could just take out and put in her carryon bag. He tagged the second suitcase heavy and wished her good luck.

Tender Mercies all around.
Watching as she walked away wasn't any easier the second time!!

And just like that she is heading back to England. As we were leaving, after waving goodbye, we ran into a friend, Christopher Thomsen. He was leaving on a business trip and just so happened to be on Abby's exact flight. He told us he would look for her and take care of her.
His seat ended up being the row behind Abby. After the flight landed he helped get them to the international terminal. Heavenly Father LOVES each of us and is aware of us individually.
