I can't think of a clever subject line.

Hey everybody!!

As you can tell from the subject line, I haven't even had time to
think this week... So hopefully this will make sense. πŸ˜‚
It's been a good week! Lots of miracles and very few people yelling. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Tuesday we were on exchange with Sister Barnjak and Sister Gomes. They
are currently serving in Kings Lynn. So it normally takes about 3
hours on the train from Kings Lynn to Colchester (because they have to
change trains like 3 times) anyway, something happened, we aren't
quite sure what, but somehow on the way here they ended up in
London... Which is no where close. πŸ˜‚ so instead of 3 hours it took
about 5. Bless them. But they got here.

While Sister Gomes and I were together we were out just stopping by
people and I remembered there was a part member family that lived in
the area. The sisters used to teach them, but I had never been to
their home. I looked up the address and we stopped by. The wife (the
non member) was home with her mother in law (member) we were able to
visit with them and share a powerful message on the atonement. The
mother in law said as we were about to leave, "I was thinking about
you today, thank you so much for coming, we both needed this." The
spirit was strong and we will see them again this week. I am so
grateful for the spirit placing us where we need to be when he needs
us there.

Funny story from the week: so we had a meeting called super MLC on
Thursday. It was for all the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders
like normal MLC but it was super because all the district leaders came
as well. We got a call Monday night right before bed at around 10:00pm
from one of the assistants, Elder Steuer, who informed us we were
going to be giving a training at super MLC on "how to work with
sisters." πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ needless to say, we had LOTS of fun preparing it and
even more fun giving it. And even MORE fun preparing it in like one
day after our exchange. πŸ˜‚ Sister Matthews doesn't love speaking in
front of people but she did great!!

We had to wake up at 3:30am to get to super MLC so the rest of the
week has been a blur and we are desperate for some sleep... Still.

Oh I almost forgot, Macy was interviewed on Saturday and will be
baptised this coming Friday! We are SO EXCITED FOR HER!!! Keep her in
your prayers. And our Ghanaian friend, Kwame, came to church and is
preparing for baptism as well. Seriously guys, so many miracles in
Colchizzy.

I am so grateful for the Lord and all he does for us. I know there is
nothing He can't do. Still, somehow, I get to be lucky enough to let
Him use me to do it. I know He lives. I know He cares. I feel Him here
beside us everyday. I LOVE HIM. The Book of Mormon is still magic and
has all the answers to life's problems. I promise. I triple dog dare
you to read it this week if you weren't going to already.

Sister Wright only included 1... ONE picture with her email this week. She said her iPad was full and she had to get some space before she could email more photos home. I guess I will forgive her.

A whole new world 🌌

Hello everybody!!

I hope you've all had a great week!! We have! It's been a week full of
meetings and finding. Lots and lots of finding. We had been finding
all week and hadn't seen a lot of success. Lots of people yelling at
us, and telling us we are wasting our time, the normal stuff. We just
couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong, or what we supposed to
learn. Then on Saturday night one of the Elders shared a scripture
with us... 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of
fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." We recognised
that we have been called by God. And His spirit is one of power and of
love and of a sound mind. If we have those things we are doing what he
wants us to do. We are doing his work in his way. So we prayed a lot
then went out on Sunday and "hit the streets" (aka tracked for like 4+
hours.) I'll be honest, it was hot, it was long, and we were hungry
(fast Sunday probs) but we were so HAPPY. We were able to find two
people who wanted to learn more and one of them has 10 siblings....
PLUS WE HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE HER WHOLE FAMILY. God is so good.
He loves you and he loves me. He will ALWAYS provide a way... But if
not, we will remain faithful.

Wednesday we had MLC. I LOVE THAT MEETING!! We received a great
training that we were able to give in Zone Training Meeting on how to
use our technology more effectively. We are encouraged to connect with
people on Facebook and to teach people over Skype and Facebook
messenger when they have busy schedules. Basically we are in a whole
new world out here. But we are so excited. Elder Bednar gave a
training to mission presidents that talked about this and how right
now we are doing a lot with technology, but it is only a small
trickle... And we need to turn this trickle into a flood. How
powerful!!

We had a great Zone Training meeting on Friday and were able to teach what we learned on Wednesday!

I love you all so much!!! I love being a missionary and I love serving alongside the Lord. I love serving these cute sisters that we are over and learning about each of them, their passions, their families, and their strengths. They make me want to be better and to do more. I love the Book of Mormon! Every morning when I read it I want to shout for joy because we are SO LUCKY!!! I am so grateful for the sacrament and the chance it gives us to start over.
May we all feel the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind this week and we earnestly and diligently seek the Lord.
I love you!!!

☀️☔️

Hello all!

Sorry about last weeks email. We were running super short on time and
had to run to a lesson. But as you know, I'm staying in Colchester
with Sister Matthews! WAHOO! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ we are so pumped!

There was lots of excitement this week, but it was basically all to do
with a few events. First of all, Fe got baptised!! Yay! She is
incredible! She bore a very strong testimony at her baptism, she even
mentioned serving a mission! She has so much faith and has sacrificed
so much to follow Christ and she never wavers in keeping the
commandments. She acts and talks like a member already. There are
great things for her to do in this kingdom and we are excited to see
what the Lord has in store for her. I definitely wasn't that
spiritually mature when I was 17!

Another exciting event was that Cameron Dixon, son of a family in the ward, came home from his mission this week! He gave his homecoming talk on Sunday and it was incredible to hear. I think homecomings are some of my favourite meetings because the spirit is so strong. The missionaries bear such a powerful testimony of Christ. I hope one day I will be able to bear a testimony like that.

We have been having fun finding this week and I have gotten even more awkward (I didn't even know what was possible. Miracles haven't ceased.) The other day we stopped the cutest Turkish girl and I can't even remember what I did that was so awkward but I followed it up with "well this is really awkward." We laughed for a while and ended up teaching her a whole lesson, praying with her, and hugging her before we left. I guess God uses us however he can.

We are seeing miracles everyday. And we are so grateful for your prayers. We know the Lord is with us as we do His work. I love hearing from each of you the difference Christ has made in your life each week. I know He lives. I know He loves us. I know He will strengthen us and comfort us and lift us.
May we all try a little harder to be a little better.

I love you all!

ps I cut Sister Matthews fringe (bangs, for you Americans) this morning. That was interesting. They don't look terrible though. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Jack and his parents came back to visit his mission, he served in Colchester as well. They came the Sunday that Elder Dixon was giving his homecoming for his mission. It was fun to see him but a little weird.  He called me Abby but then corrected himself to Sister Wright. He brought a package from home. Thank you Darrington's for bringing some Love from America to me here in England.

Jack sent home a snapchat to my sisters... same old Jack!

A sweet Facebook surprise. A sweet member from Colchester sent me this picture of Sister Wright and Matthews. They fed them dinner Sunday night.
