Happy Birthday 'Merica πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ¦πŸŽˆ

Hey!

First of all to my fellow Americans: HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!!

This week has definitely been amazing. As Sister Stevens says, "these are days never to be forgotten! These are journal writing days!" And although I haven't updated my journal yet, these definitely are journal writing days.

Last p-day (Monday) my long lost bff from Norwich, Petya, came to visit! We had loads of fun and good conversations about the gospel, she will get baptised one day. I just know it!!

We also learned a very important lesson on Monday.... That God knows us PERFECTLY. Like literally, our stomachs too. Monday evening we were kinda hungry and needed to email so we look at each other and say "McDonalds" (some of you wont be surprised) So we go and we are ordering our food like normal, blah, blah, THEN the girl taking my food order, Fe, points to my badge and says "what's that?" I explained that we were missionaries and a little about what we do. She said she was kinda interested and gave us her number, we gave her a dropped call so she had ours, then went and ate our food. WELL, GET THIS! While we are still at McDonalds, we get a text, FROM HER! And set up a time to see her the next day. To cut a long story short we taught her twice this week and she was able to come to church. But the coolest part..... SHE BORE HER TESTIMONY!!!! She still has some concerns before she will be baptised, but she bore a powerful witness of the love she feels from God as she reads the Book of Mormon and how in the small time since she met us her life has changed. THE SPIRIT WAS LIKE PUNCHING EVERYONE IN THE FACE IT WAS SO STRONG!!! We are seeing her tomorrow, I'll keep you updated ☺️

Wednesday we were on exchange with Norwich, Sister Powell and Sister Smiddy, it was great fun! And Wednesday night all 4 of us, plus the other Colchester Sisters, Sister Guimaraes and Sister Soulier, slept in our flat. It was MADNESS! But we had to get up early to take a train the next day to London for the mission tour with the Europe Area President, Elder Kearon. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! He spoke a lot about becoming the message. And the joy we should have as we talk about these truths that bring so much joy. My favourite quote was "We thrive under opposition." AMEN!

We stayed the night in London at some of the Visitor Centre's sister's flat. Then went back to Hyde Park chapel Friday morning for Mission Leadership Conference. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Elder Kearon and his wife were able to be with us for the whole first half of the meeting until lunch. The spirit was incredible. I know we have it with us everyday and we feel it when we listen to our leaders, but this was something else. We all stood in silence and he was leaving and there wasn't a dry eye in the room. He just stood there and looked at us for so long. After he left none of us wanted to move. I can't even describe to you in words the joy in my heart and the peace in my soul as we met that day. HE LIVES!

Others an all that, it was a normal week. Haha

I love you all and I'm so grateful for the emails you send. I love hearing from you. The gospel is true. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. CHRIST LIVES. I know it. I could not be more sure of anything else. I love the doctrine of God. May we all strive a little harder to be a little better. As the watch company says, "Do good. Be good."
I love the Lord, I love this work, I love all of you!
How blessed we are!

Your favourite missionary,
Sister Wright
